🏡Château Cantenac Brown is located in the Margaux appellation on the left bank of Bordeaux, adjacent to the First Growth Château Margaux. Before its establishment, it was just a small vineyard. It was acquired by the Boyd family in 1754 and developed into a estate, initially named Château Cantenac. In 1806, the estate was acquired by the Brown family and officially renamed Château Cantenac Brown. It changed hands several times afterward, and in the 1885 classification, it was classified as a Third Growth.
